day 1: Tehran – Arrival

Today’s Highlights: Royal Palaces of the Capital, Darband Village Welcome to Tehran! On arrival at airport we will be waiting to transfer you to hotel. You will meet and greet with your guide there. After a short break, Tehran city tour starts with Royal Palace of Niavaran and Saad Abad, the kings’ residence of Qajar and Pahlavi dynasty. Explore Darband village and sit down to dinner. Return to hotel. Note: Itinerary on this day may change according to exact time of arrival.

day 2: Tehran

Today’s Highlights: Golestan Palace, Natioanl Museum, National Jewelry Museum, Great Bazaar Today, city tour starts with National Museum, the largest archeological and historical museum in Iran and one of the world’s largest museums, and then Golestan Palace, the UNESCO World Heritage. Time for lunch until 14:00 when National Jewelry Museum opens. We will close the day wandering Tehran Great Bazar and communication with local people. Return to hotel

Note: National Jewelry Museum working days: Saturday to Tuesday 14:00 to 16:30

day 3: Tehran to Kashan

To start our journey to heart of desert we will drive to Kashan in the morning. Kashan is a unique desert city with peculiar architecture in which houses are built lower than ground level to make the desert heat mild for inhabitants. Kashan city tour includes nobles’ house of Tabatabaie and Boroujerdieha House. As strolling in the city we also visit Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse, Aqa Bozorg Mosque, Traditional Bazaar and Fin Garden (UNESCO World Heritage as a sample of Iranian garden). O/N Kashan

day 4: Maranjab & Khur

Today, we will drive to Maranjab to explore the desert, caravanserai and the salt lake. At the end of the day we will drive to Khur to spend the night in a desert hotel. O/N Khur

day 5: Mesr & Garmeh

In the morning we will explore Mesr village, hike and trek in sand dunes, ride camel or bike. Then we will drive to Garmeh village to where we will find a palm forest appeared around a spring with hundreds of fishes living there. O/N Garmeh

day 6: Bayazeh & Kharanaq

We go to a thousand year old castle in Bayazeh village in the morning and then continue toward Kharanaq to explore the ancient city. Finally we will visit Chak Chak and then drive to Yazd. O/N Yazd

day 7: Yazd

Yazd the adobe city (UNESCO World Heritages) is the last point will be exposed in our desert quest. We will visit there Amirchakmaq Complex including: Mosque, Caravanserai, Tekyeh, Bathhouse and Cistern. Then visit Water Museum where you will find out how desert people supply water from centuries ago by building underground waterways called “Qanat” and then visit Zoroastrian Fire Temple, there is a fire which has been burning for 1400 years. In the evening: Tower of Silence (Zoroastrian Grave) and Dolat Abad Garden (UNESCO World Heritage as a sample of Iranian garden). O/N Yazd

day 8: Departure

After having breakfast you will be transferred to IKIA for departure flight.
