On this explanatory trip you will go through Iranian Kitchen as well as Culture and History.

Note: Iranian foods are meat based, that’s why this tour is not recommended to vegetarians.

day 1: Arrival – Tehran

Welcome to Iran! We will be waiting for you at airport to transfer you to hotel. Meet and greet with your guide at hotel lobby. After a short break Tehran city tour starts with having lunch at Moslem Restaurant located in Grand Bazaar. You will try Kebab, the most popular Iranian food. Then explore bazar and communicate with people heading to National Jewelry Museum and Golestan Palace.

day 2: Culinary Tour

Persian food tour starts in the morning around 9:00 at Tajrish Bazaar. You will walk through bazaar to learn about ingredients and spices and buy required stuffs for lunch you are going to make. Then you will go to kitchen and trying cooking as the chef helps you. In the afternoon you will be free on your own.

day 3: Flight to Boushehr

Morning flight to the shore of Persian Gulf to visit Boushehr seaport. Wander traditional bazaar of Boushehr and sample foodstuffs such as Palm, Halva and Pickles. Then Visit Saadat School and have Qalieh Mahi (Fish Stew) for lunch. In the afternoon visit malek Mension and enjoy the gulf in the evening.

day 4: Driv to Shiraz

Take a half day drive to reach Shiraz. A short break at hotel then visit Quraan Gate and Khajooy-e Kermani Tomb over a hill; whatch the city from the top point in the evening. For night you will have dinner with a local family at their place to enjoy having Kalam Polo with Shirazi Salad for dinner.

day 5: Shiraz - Drive to Yazd

Today will be dedicated to Mosques, Gardens and Poetry. We set out for Nasir Almolk Mosque (also known as Pink Mosque) to admire the shedding lights through the colorful glass of windows. Then go to see Naranjestan Qavam Garden. Walking tour in Zandyeh Complex, including Vakil Bazaar, Saray-e Moshir, Vakil Mosque, Vakil Bathhouse and Karim Khan Citadel. In bazaar you can try Faloodeh Shirazi the famous Iranian cold desert. In the evening you will have dinner with a Shirazi family at their place to immerse in the local culture. In the afternoon Eram Garden the UNESCO World Heritage, Delgosha Garden, tomb of great poets Saadi and Hafez.

A full day drive to Yazd the adobe city as world heritage. On the way stop by Persepolis (UNESCO World Heritage), Naghsh-e Rostam the Achaemenid kings’ necropolis and Pasargadae the world heritage site.

day 6: Yazd

Spend the day exploring Zoroastrian memorials Fire Temple and Tower of Silence. Then visit Water Museum where you can find how desert people supply water during centuries by underground water ways called “Qanat”. The next point in Amirchakhmaq Complex including Mosque, Caravanserai, Tekyeh, Bathhouse and Cistern.

day 7: Yazd

Spend the day explore more of Yazd to visit Jame Mosque, stroll in Bazaar and Fahadan Quarter. At the end enjoy a Persian night by listening to local music and stories as well as having Ghormeh Sabzi as dinner.

day 8: Khur Desert

Take morning drive toward hear of desert, Khur. On the way stop in Chak Chak also known as Pir-e Sabz (means the green oldster) and Kharanaq village.

day 9: Desert to Isfahan

Enjoy desert activities: hiking in sand dunes, biking or camel riding. Then continue the journey toward Isfahan. In the evening hang out on Isfahan old bridges: Sio-se Pol and Khajou Bridge.

day 10: Isfahan

Take a full day to enjoy the world heritage site of Naghsh-e Jahan including Abbasi Jame Mosque also known as Imam/Shah Mosque, Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and explore Qeysarieh Bazaar to learn about handy crafts and sample “Gaz”, a candy famous in Isfahan. At night have family dinner with a local family.

day 11: Isfahan

Completion of visits in Isfahan by visiting Chehel Setoun Palace (UNESCO Workd Heritage as sample of Iranian garden), Isfahan Music Museum, Vank Cathedral and strolling in Armenian Quarter. In the evening have dinner in a traditional restaurant to enjoy Beryani specific to Isfahan.

day 12: Isfahan to Kashan

Drive to Kashan in the morning through the road on which you can find the res historical stair stepped village. Close the journey by overnight stay in Kashan where is the first city of Iran as some historians say. You will find historical houses with unique architecture to make temperature mild for inhabitants in heart of hot desert; they are built in depth below ground surface: Tabatabaie’s House and Boroujerdie’s House. As strolling in the city we will visit Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse, Traditional Bazaar and Fin Garden (UNESCO World Heritage as a sample of Iranian garden). Also will sit down and relax at a place called Sharbat Sara to enjoy Iranian drinks made of flowers. And the last supper would be Dizi (stew you crumble bits of bread into and mash up with a mortar and pestle right at the table!) while enjoying traditional music at a local restaurant.

day 13: Departure

Leave Kashan toward IKA 5 hours before departure.
